PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Good Afternoon Families,

1500m Event

Congratulations to our 5-6 students who completed the 1500m running race yesterday!

What a fantastic way to kick off our Athletics Carnival season, with students earning valuable points for their houses – Logan and Barclay. The 1500 metres race demands a perfect blend of speed, strategy, and endurance, making it one of the most challenging events in track and field.

We are incredibly proud to have achieved 100% participation and race completion. A big thank you to Mr. Lynch for his excellent organisation of the event and to our enthusiastic parent finish line judges. Your support and encouragement motivated our runners to keep pushing forward.

The rest of our Athletic Carnival events will be held on Wednesday the 19th of March 9-12:30 pm on our school site. Our groundsman Mr Andrew Exton will be painting the 100m track lines early next week ready for practice and training during break times and Physical Education lessons.

Spectators are invited to watch, and the School Association Community Champions will be supporting the school by providing food and drinks for purchase. Please contact one of our Community Champions if you can volunteer and help on the day.

The carnival supports the selection of an Evandale representative team to compete at the Northern Midlands School Sports Association Athletic Carnival on Friday the 28th of March at St Leonards. More details to follow – please keep a watch on our weekly Newsletter and Facebook page.

Little Library Readers

Do you have a little one who loves listening to stories and would like to be like their big brother or sister and borrow some books from the library?

LiL students and their families are invited to visit our library Tuesdays between 8:30-9:15am.  Our Library Leaders Tyrrian and Ruby are looking forward to sharing their favourite stories with you....

Bravehearts - Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure Show

Ditto.jpg

Our Prep to Year 3 students attended ‘Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure Show’ on Monday teaching essential personal safety skills and knowledge through music and relatable characters.  The students were introduced to Ditto’s 3 rules, which involve being able to recognise, react and report, to ensure they feel empowered with the knowledge of personal safety.  Please talk with your child about the show and Ditto’s 3 rules

  1. We all have the right to feel safe with people.
  1. It is okay to say no if you feel unsafe or unsure.
  1. Nothing is so yucky that you can’t tell someone about it.

Did you notice our newly painted gabled entrance when you entered school today?

We would like to extend our gratitude to all students and families for safely using the gabled entrance each morning and afternoon. Your cooperation in ensuring everyone is safe greatly appreciated.

A special thank you goes to Mr. Andrew Exton for his fantastic handy work in painting our gabled entrance. It looks wonderful.

Lions Eye Health Program visited Evandale

A big thank you to the Lions Eye Health Program volunteers who visited our school on Tuesday.  They were extremely impressed with our student’s respectful manners. Letters were sent home with students who visited the program on Wednesday.

Thank you very much to the volunteers.
