Good Afternoon Families,
Mrs Shelton’s Retirement
We were honoured to contribute part of our assembly on Monday to Mrs. Shelton. We celebrated her contributions to our school and expressed our gratitude for the 28 years that she has dedicated to our school community.

Please remember to put a special personal farewell message or card in the box in the school office foyer. I’m sure these keepsakes from parents, carers and families will bring Mrs Shelton much joy for many years!
Colour Run, activities and a delicious lunch!
On Monday you would have received a letter informing you of our upcoming exciting colour run event organised in conjunction with our Community Champions for the last Thursday of term the 10th of April. Please return the lunch order form for a sausage, croissant and/or juice box by Monday 7th April. You may choose to send your child with one or two dollars to purchase something from the cake and slice stall at lunchtime too.
Students will need to be prepared with a few things for the day including an old white or light-coloured t-shirt, to be worn to school under your child’s school polo top. Please check the letter for details and contact your child’s teacher or the office with any queries.
At 2:30pm the Community Champs will announce which staff member has the most amount of money donated to them. This will mean that they will have to endure a special surprise! Families are invited to come along and see how the day ends from 2:30-2:45pm! We encourage you to collect your child on this day or send with a full change of clothes if they must catch the bus home.

Gumnuts
Our Launching into Learning Gumnuts is every Monday morning. It has been wonderful to welcome some new families to Gumnuts over the past couple of weeks. If you know people in our community that have young children, please encourage them to come along for some fun and connection at school. We are always excited to see our littlest learners and their families join us in the Kinder classroom on Mondays from 9:30-11am.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS MRS DUGGAN
We send our best wishes to Mrs Maree Duggan as she enjoys a well-deserved holiday during her long service leave. She works extremely hard and puts in many additional hours to ensure that everything at our school is organised and running efficiently every day! The school staff and I will do our best to ensure that every child has a positive end to the term in Mrs Duggan’s absence. If you have any queries over the remainder of the term, please do not hesitate to contact the office or myself.
Regards,

NORTHERN MIDLANDS ATHLETICS CARNIVAL
Last Friday we went to St Leonards to the Northern Midlands athletics carnival. It was a beautiful day and our team were excited and a little bit nervous. The 1500m was the first event and probably the toughest event for the day. Our runners did an amazing job. Next up we had the 100m, then the 200, 400 and 800. Some of us went in all of these races. Our team were lucky enough to win lots of ribbons for placing in their events and we think we did a great job representing our school. The relays were last, and they are always lots of fun. We mostly changed the batons smoothly, and we won some more ribbons. The day was a lot of fun and we would like to thank Anieka Crosswell and Mrs Smith for coming along and helping out on the day.
