Good Afternoon Families,
Free Dress Day TOMORROW
The Student Leadership Council will be hosting a Free Dress Day tomorrow. Students are invited to wear casual clothes and are encouraged to bring an Easter egg or chocolate donation to support the annual Easter Chocolate Raffle.
The Student Leadership Council have planned special fun activities during recess and lunch for those students who wish to participate.
NAPLAN
Year 3 and 5 students have begun sitting NAPLAN tests this week. We have been very impressed with the way they have approached the testing with a growth mindset and a positive attitude. Testing will continue into next week.
Gumnuts starts next week
Our Launching into Learning Gumnuts group (for children from birth to 4 years of age) begins NEXT Monday with Mrs Rachelle Smith.
Why come to Launching into Learning?
- play & learn alongside your child
- meet other families
- get to know the school staff
- get ready for school
Just a reminder that school’s duty of care finishes at 3pm each day. Students who are playing after school in the playground need to be closely supervised by their parent. School rules and behaviour expectations still apply.
Please see the Parent Friendly calendar attached.
Our Athletic Carnival events will be held NEXT Wednesday the 19th of March. Our groundsman Mr Andrew Exton has painted the 100m and circular track lines and students have been using them to practice and train during break times.
Prep – 2 students will participate in events between 9 -11am and Year 3-6 students will participate from 9 to 12:50pm. Spectators are invited to watch but must remain in the designated spectator area. The Athletics Day Program can be accessed below and will be posted on our Facebook page early next week as a reminder.
The School Association Community Champions will be supporting the school by providing food and drinks for purchase. Please contact one of our Community Champions if you can volunteer and help on the day.
An Evandale representative team will be selected to compete at the Northern Midlands School Sports Association Athletic Carnival on Friday the 28th of March at St Leonards.
