Good Afternoon Families,
Building Community and Celebrating Learning: A Memorable Start to the Year!
Thank you to all the parents and families who joined us for our 'Open Classroom' event on Monday. The energy around the school was incredible, with students buzzing to share their learning and beginning of year experiences with families. It was such a pleasure to see the excitement in their faces as they proudly showcased their work.
A heartfelt thank you to the Student Leadership Council and the School Association Community Champions for their amazing effort in organising the “Welcome Back BBQ.” The weather was on our side with a beautiful afternoon, and the turnout was amazing, with 150 sausages and icy poles served. A special thank you to our expert sausage chef, Luke! It was wonderful to meet so many extended family members and see new and familiar faces making connections. Here’s to many more moments of community, learning, and fun together!
1500m Athletics Race
Next Wednesday the 5th of March our 5-6 students will run the 1500m race which forms part of our Athletics Carnival program. Please ensure students come prepared dressed in sports attire, apply sunscreen and bring a large drink of water. We are able to use the oval at Morven Park and will take place 10:20am.
Parents are welcome to come and watch the event but will need to follow our safeguarding instructions and remain behind the fence around Morven Park oval.
Athletics Carnival
Our Athletic Carnival will be held in Week 7 on Wednesday the 19th of March on our school site as the Morven Park Complex is not available on this date due to ground works by the Northern Midlands Council. Spectators are invited to watch and the School Association Community Champions will be supporting the school by providing food and drinks for purchase. An Evandale representative team will be selected to compete at the Northern Midlands School Sports Association Athletic Carnival on Friday the 28th of March at St Leonards. More details to follow – please keep a watch on our weekly Newsletter and Facebook page.
