Dear families,
This week is Science Week at Evandale Primary School. Students have been exploring lots of different areas of the Science curriculum.
P/1students are focusing on the science skill of questioning to find out more about bees. They have been posing questions to explore observed simple patterns and relationships and make predictions.
The highlight of the week will definitely be a visit by the Young Tassie Scientists tomorrow for our grade 1 to 6 students. The Young Tassie Scientists visiting are:
- Reyhan Ramazanova - Artificial Intelligence, Disability and Human Rights
- Joe Cresswell - Geophysicist - IMAS, UTAS
- Arjun Jothish Nair Public Health Engineering - Menzies Institute for Medical Research
- Group lead: Rhiannon Terry Chemist - The Chemistry of Smells
I wonder what questions our students will have coming home Friday afternoon?
Parent-Teacher-Child Meetings - Gr 4-5-6
A letter to 4-5-6 parents will be sent today outlining Parent-Teacher-Child Conversation arrangements to discuss students’ learning progress and sharing students’ evidence of learning in Mathematics and English. These will take place next week. Please make a booking using the Schoolzine system.
Parents & Friend's Fundraising Committee
The Parent and Friends Fundraising Committee are organising a garden working bee and are calling for volunteers to join their crew. It will be during a school day within the next two weeks so that our orchard trees can be pruned. Please let the office know if you are able to help us on the day.

BOOK FAIR - Thank you to all who purchased from our Book Fair last week. We sold $2840 worth of books (pretty amazing for our small school) and we now have $950 to spend on books for our library! A huge thank you to Mrs. Stanton and Mrs. Becker for their hard work!
